NEWSParticipating in the "I know IBD Project"

December 1, 2025

Hotel Wing International Nagoya has decided to participate in the "I know IBD Project" and carry out awareness-raising activities.

Our facility not only provides toilets to IBD patients, but also offers the second floor lobby as a rest area so that patients can get some rest. Patients who wish to use this facility are welcome to do so.

I know IBDAbout the project

What is IBD anyway?

It is a designated intractable disease by the government and is a collective term for ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease. It is a disease that causes symptoms such as abdominal pain and diarrhea due to inflammation in the digestive organs, such as the intestines.

What kind of trouble are you having?

Despite being the most common intractable disease, it is not well known and is difficult to identify from appearance, making it difficult for those around it to understand. This makes it difficult for patients to ask for help. Some patients suffer physically, with abdominal pain, weight loss, and fluctuations in their condition from day to day. Others struggle mentally, with daily dietary restrictions, always checking the location of restrooms when out and about in case of an emergency, and having difficulty finding stable employment. Some of these various difficulties can be resolved with just a little support for patients.

I know IBDWhat is the purpose of the project?

Our goal is to uncover the various issues surrounding IBD patients that society is unaware of, which could be called "invisible walls," and work to resolve them, as well as to increase the number of people who correctly recognize and understand IBD, thereby raising awareness of IBD in society as a whole.

Hotel Wing International Nagoya's Initiatives

・Rental of toilets

The hotel is open 24 hours a day, so we can help you at any time if you suddenly become unwell.

・The second floor lobby is available as a rest area

Our hotel lobby is spacious, so we provide a sofa where you can sit and relax. (*Please note that this may not be available depending on the situation.) Please let a staff member know if you would like to use this space.

We will continue to work to resolve these issues, hoping to expand the circle of understanding and support for IBD patients who live with various anxieties, and to create a society where everyone can live comfortably.
