About Premium Kanazawa Ekimae
~Once you pass through Tsuzumimon Gate, you will encounter that smiling face~
The design was overseen by architect Ryuzo Shirae, who also designed the symbolic Tsuzumimon Gate of Kanazawa Station. The futuristic design of the reception, lobby, and relaxation spaces are dominated by works by popular sculptor Yoshimasa Tsuchiya. The guest room floors use traditional Kanazawa colors, such as the five colors and gold of Kaga Yuzen and Kutani ware, to add a touch of elegance to their gentleness, serenity, and refinement. The shared spaces express the city's history and tradition, and offer a sense of the aesthetics of the future, helping to liven up your travels.
We welcome you with warm hospitality and a smile, and you can enjoy the leisurely flow of time and fully experience the story that unfolds from Tsuzumimon Gate.

The top floor of the hotel houses the front desk, lobby and restaurant. There is also a terrace with a panoramic view of Kanazawa city, including the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
The design is a collaborative effort between Ryuzo Shirae and the currently popular sculptor Yoshimasa Tsuchiya. Guests can relax in a spatial sculpture that evokes the mystery of life and faith in Mount Hakusan in the Hokuriku region. The hotel's overall design allows guests to experience Kanazawa's traditional culture and future.

Architect Ryuzo Shirae
He designed Tsuzumimon Gate, which was selected by the major American travel magazine Travel + Leisure as "one of the most beautiful train stations in the world." He is president of Shirae Architectural Institute. He is a member of the Architectural Institute of Japan and the Tokyo Association of Architects and Building Engineers, and is also a member of the Japan Association of Architects and Urban Planning. He has received numerous awards, including the Architectural Institute of Japan Award for Works and the Good Design Award.

Sculptor Yoshimasa Tsuchiya
He studied classical techniques and restoration of Buddhist art sculpture at the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School, and completed a doctoral course in conservation and restoration of sculpture. In recent years, his woodcarvings, which apply traditional Buddhist art techniques and feature motifs ranging from real animals to mythical and imaginary animals, have attracted a great deal of attention both in Japan and overseas.
