90 minutes by bus from Yamaguchi Ube Airport.
From Fukuoka Airport, take the subway to Hakata Station (2 stops, approximately 5 minutes) and then transfer to the Shinkansen.
It takes about 80 minutes to get to Kokura Station by Airport Line bus, then transfer to the local train to Shimonoseki Station, which is 2 stops away (about 10 minutes).
From Kitakyushu Airport to Kokura Station, you can take the Airport Line bus and then transfer to JR.
By car
From Shimonoseki IC, head towards the city center and drive for about 15 minutes.
